Bible Resources
This is a collection of suggested Bible study resources, websites, and influencers you may find helpful and encouraging in your study of the Bible.
For those who haven’t read the Bible much or at all, there are many of resources available to help them begin their studies.
We could divide the resources into four categories: traditional print resources, online resources, Bible apps, and study groups. Sermons are okay, but we don’t generally get to talk back. And it’s in the talking that we’ll find the best learning.
Printed resources
Traditional print resources can be found at most bookstores or online retailers. These resources include study Bibles, which are copies of the Bible with notes that explain difficult passages and highlight important themes.
And there are books like The Complete Guide to the Bible that give reader and fast and easy-to-follow description of what’s in the Bible and why.
Devotional books can also help us gain a better understanding of the Bible’s teachings. These books use short daily readings and reflections to encourage readers to apply biblical principles to their daily lives.
Online resources
Online resources are all over the internet connection. Websites like Bible Gateway and Bible Study Tools offer free access to many versions of the Bible. They offerhelpful resources like commentaries and concordances.
Websites like YouVersion offer daily devotionals and Bible reading plans, which break down the Bible into manageable sections for daily study.
Bible study apps
Bible apps for smartphones and tablets offer convenient access to the Bible and its cousins, the Bible study resources. Many of these apps include study notes, daily devotionals, and audio versions of the Bible.
These apps also provide helpful tools like search and highlighting functions, making it easy to find and reference specific passages.
Study groups
Finally, study groups provide an opportunity for individuals to explore the Bible with others.
You get to talk back, ask questions, challenge weak answers.
These groups can be found in churches, community centers, and online communities.
In a study group, members can discuss their questions, share their insights, and deepen their understanding of the Bible’s teachings.
Some study groups use study guides or workbooks to provide structure and focus to their discussions. The Casual English Bible provides maps and leader’s guide for the various books of the Bible. There’s also a collection of all the maps in The Casual English Bible library.

From traditional print resources to online tools, Bible apps, and study groups, there are options to suit any learning style and schedule.
